Four Solutions provides mould inspection and treatment in Singapore. The assessment considers visible growth, moisture readings, ventilation and accessible surfaces before recommending work. Tell us where the problem appears, whether it returns after cleaning and whether there is known water ingress.
Recurring growth, damp patches or a persistent musty smell are reasons to investigate moisture and accessible surfaces. A smell alone does not confirm hidden mould or its source. An assessment helps decide what can be treated, what remains uncertain and whether further access or repair is needed.
When to get a mould inspection
- A lasting musty smell with no obvious visible mould.
- Mould that keeps returning after you clean or repaint.
- Buying or renting a property and wanting to check for hidden damp.
- An office or commercial space with air-quality complaints.
- Visible mould where you want the cause identified for a landlord or insurer.
What a mould inspection involves
Four Solutions considers visible growth, accessible surfaces, moisture and humidity readings, and relevant inspection images together. The assessment looks at possible condensation, leaks, seepage and ventilation issues. Ask which checks are included and whether concealed areas need further access. Equipment readings and photographs are not a promise to locate every hidden source or identify mould species.
Photographs from our existing inspection archive. Readings, surface conditions and access are considered together; a photograph alone does not identify mould species or establish a laboratory result.
Why inspection matters before treatment
Cleaning alone may not prevent recurrence if the moisture problem remains. Before booking, ask what the assessment found, what could not be checked, what treatment is included and whether a leak or building repair needs a separate contractor. If you need a written report, confirm its scope and fee in advance.
Start with photos, then confirm the treatment scope
Send two or three clear photos on WhatsApp and we can usually quote from that, so most quotes are free and fast. A site check is arranged for the larger or hidden cases, where growth is not visible or the moisture source is not obvious from photos. The treatment that follows is priced on the actual scope. Most residential mould removal runs from around $250 for a small single patch to $2,500 or more for whole-home or severe multi-room cases, and replastering, where it is needed, is charged separately at $80 to $150 per affected area. Read the full mould removal cost breakdown before you book.
What to send before an inspection
- A room overview and close-up of the affected surface.
- When the smell or growth started, and whether it returns after cleaning.
- Any known leak, aircon condensation, damp cupboard or recent water damage.
- The property type, affected rooms and access restrictions.
Compare the mould inspection and treatment process and mould removal pricing factors. Photos help with initial scoping; concealed areas may need an onsite assessment.
Book a mould inspection
The inspection is the assessment step; the mould removal that follows is quoted on the scope it finds, for homes and commercial premises across Singapore. Message us on WhatsApp with photos of the affected area to arrange one. Four Solutions' NEA Vector Control Operator registration relates to pest control, not certification of a mould inspection.

Mould inspection FAQs
Can you find mould inside walls or above the ceiling?
We assess accessible surfaces and readings for signs of moisture and possible hidden risk. Concealed areas may need further access or investigation. The assessment explains its limits; a surface scan cannot confirm every condition inside a wall or ceiling.
My room smells musty but I cannot see mould, do I need an inspection?
A persistent musty smell is a reason to investigate, especially after a leak or recurring dampness. It does not by itself confirm hidden mould. Send photos and the history of the problem so the team can advise on an assessment and any further checks.
How do I get an initial mould removal quote?
Send a photo on WhatsApp and we can usually quote from that, so most quotes are free and fast. A site check is arranged only for the larger or hidden cases.
Do you treat the mould after inspecting, or just inspect?
Four Solutions provides both assessment and mould treatment. The quote confirms the treatment area, method and any follow-up. Ask whether moisture-source repairs or further investigation are needed separately; do not assume these are included in removal work.
